Many food drives take place every year and result in hundreds of thousands of pounds of donated food for our local food banks and pantries feeding the hungry. The challenge is that our underserved residents battle health conditions that are made worse by the high sodium, sugar and fat in many of the foods that are typically donated in food drives.
Because nutrition matters for all of us, we promote a healthier food drive so our most vulnerable residents get the nutrition they need to live well. Take the pledge and download a list of healthier food drive items. Your donation can make a difference in someone’s health.
